What is STRESS?

Dr.  Joy Musoke

According to the American Psychological Association, stress is any uncomfortable emotional experience accompanied by predictable biochemical, physiological and behavioral changes.

The body has an appropriate healthy response to stress if it is of a short duration. If, however, the stress is of a long duration it may cause an overload which leads to deregulation and accompanying changes in personal behavior such as over-eating, drinking, insomnia, being untidy to mention a few.
