When we think of building careers, we often think about the skills that we need to have in order to make the next career turn. Sometimes we think about the partnerships that we need to form with mentors and coaches, to sharpen certain areas. But there is another dimension, which is more within our control and yet sometimes overlooked to the detriment of some ambitious career builders. That dimension is our own behaviour and its effect. By behaviour I mean, how we carry ourselves and whether this begets a toxic or delightful effect.
