Agriculture is one of the strong pillars of Lesotho’s economy. Tourism Management graduate from Limkokwing University of Technology (LUCT) who is a farmer, Tiisetso Sefatsane has done it all. Sefatsane’s entrepreneurship journey dates back to her primary school years, when she ventured into braiding her peers and neighbourhood ladies for a small fee as a braid stylist. It is not surprising that throughout her career moves, she always strived towards becoming her own boss.

Women often go into farming to provide the best, healthiest local food for their families and communities, Sefatsane says. While they may cultivate and grow a variety of crops, their major focus is more on seasonal and healthy foods. The young farmer Sefatsane talks about her life as a crop farmer and the routes taken to get to where she is today.
