Hair, an artistic form of self-expression and Identity

The way I wear my hair is very much dependent on how I feel, my mood and energy levels and an occasion. When I feel lazy and I usually put it in twists for a period of a month which also works as a reparative length retention strategy.

Hair as an artistic form of self-expression
Much like fashion, hair speaks so much more than what some may think. In fact, hair is often used as a form of self-expression. Whether dying your luscious locks every colour of the rainbow, embracing the natural look or straightening your hair, there’s a lot more to hair than just “hair”. The cornrows and their fancy patterns represent a mood and an era. They show off the hair stylist’s talent and ability to express geometric skills. Hair complements an outfit and defines whether you are dressed up or down.
