UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP RED FLAG

The only way to sustain this column is if you speak up and share your stories with us. Our main goal is to help change lives through storytelling, so your stories are very important to us. As a follow-up to our first issue, we would like to shed light on some of the practices that take place in relationships that are deemed normal but are forms of abuse.

In order to understand what gender based violence entails, we need to establish some of the things that will enable our readers to identify red flags in their relationships. Some of these practices have been normalised so much that some people do not even realise how wrong they are. As they take place in their everyday lives. We must remember that abuse is not limited to physical attack only. It is your responsibility to access your relationship to see if they exist, talk to your partner about it and seek help if necessary before it is too late.
